Public Parks & Recreation in West University Place

West University Place, a relatively small city, has seven parks within its borders. Most of the parks are equipped with either a basketball court or a tennis court and all include playgrounds for children. The West University Place Recreation Center Park has built a new playground that the city has described as a unique place where fitness and traditional playground equipment collide. The entire playground is surfaced with turf and is canopied with a large cover to keep kids safe from harmful sun rays during those hot Texas summers. The city of West University Place maintains two public swimming pools. One is inside of the city's recreation center where the pool is dedicated to year round fitness and family swimming. The other public pool is the Colonial Park Pool which is equipped with a slide, rock wall, and water playground equipment.
